Lamorran is a delightful subtropical paradise on the hills above St Mawes, with far reaching views out to St Anthony’s Head and lighthouse.

Mr & Mrs Dudley-Cooke began work on their 4 acre garden shortly after moving there in 1982. Built in the Italianate manner, the gardens wind down the hillside, housing plants from all over the world, but favouring plants from the Medittteranean and southern hemisphere.

There are a vast array of Palms and the Azaleas and Rhododendrons give a magnificent show during the month of May. Due to its sheltered position and the absence of frosts, plants tend to grow all year round and regardless of when you visit there will always be plenty to see.
