Trevarno Estate, some 750 acres includes several farms,70 acres of woodland and the 35 acre garden! It dates back to 1246, having been privately owned by notable families throughout the centuries. Until very recently, it was known purely for its organic skin care and soap products, however, 8 years ago, restoration work began on 35 acres of the garden, allowing public into these spectacular Victorian and Georgian gardens for the first time. Restoration is still very much underway and there is still lots to do. Some areas are understandably still very new, but notable completed features include; Bluebell Valley, the sunken Italian Garden, the Bog Garden, the Victorian Boathouse and an outstanding collection of gardening antiques and memorabilia in their "National Museum of Gardening", Britain’s largest and most comprehensive collection. Of additional interest, are the The Vintage Soap Collection and Colin Gregory's Toy Collection. Last Year, an Adventure Play Area was added in addition to the extended Estate Walk of about 2km and a viewing platform.
